Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 20, 2026

1. Who we are

Youse is a private, shared relationship app for two people. This Privacy Policy explains how Youse (we, us, or our) handles personal information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the Service).

Questions or requests about privacy can be sent to [email protected].

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your phone number for one-time-password sign-in; profile details such as your name, profile photo, date of birth, and gender; relationship details; invitation details; an email address you submit to join the launch list; and messages you send to support.

We also collect the content you choose to create in Youse, including daily-question answers, mood check-ins, memories, photos, captions, plans, lists, reminders, and related dates or locations that you enter. We do not collect your device’s precise location through the Service.

When you use the Service, we may receive technical information needed to operate and secure it, such as push-notification tokens, device and app information, IP address, request and error logs, and subscription-status information.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; authenticate sign-in; connect you with the partner you invite or accept; provide, maintain, and improve the Service; send service and reminder notifications when enabled; respond to support requests; send launch updates to people who request them; prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information or use your relationship content for targeted advertising. We do not use your private relationship content to train public or general-purpose AI models.

4. Shared relationship spaces

Youse is built for a shared space between two connected partners. Content you add to that space—including memories, photos, plans, lists, and certain settings—may be visible to your connected partner. Daily answers are designed to remain unavailable to the other partner until both partners have answered. Please consider carefully what you choose to share.

When a relationship is unlinked or an account is deleted, the treatment of shared content can depend on the feature and the choices available at that time. We will provide relevant information in the product where possible.

5. Service providers and disclosures

We use carefully selected service providers to operate the Service. These may include Cloudflare R2 for image storage, Fast2SMS for phone-number verification messages, Expo for push notifications, Razorpay for payment processing, and hosting, database, security, and customer-support providers. These providers may process information only to provide services to us and under appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.

We may also disclose information when required by law; to protect the rights, safety, and security of Youse, our users, or others; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.

6. Payments

If you purchase a subscription, payment details are processed by the payment provider or app-store platform you select. Youse does not store full card, bank-account, or payment-credential details. We receive limited information about the transaction, such as its status, plan, renewal period, and provider subscription identifier, so we can administer your access.

7. Your choices and rights

You can update certain profile information, manage reminders and push notifications, remove content, and unlink a relationship within the Service. You may ask us to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal information, or object to particular processing where applicable law provides those rights.

To request account deletion, use our account deletion page or email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity. We will delete or de-identify information we no longer need, subject to lawful retention needs described below.

8. Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain limited information for a longer period when necessary for billing, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and backup or recovery processes. The length of retention depends on the type of information and why we need it.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children and international use

Youse is not directed to children and is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. When we transfer information internationally, we take steps intended to provide safeguards required by applicable law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices or the law changes. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by another appropriate method. The updated policy becomes effective on the date shown above.
